Below, see Fredi (age 6) with her alphabet book made from recycled materials. It's a simple accordion book, made of foam board and attached with tape. This was inspired by the work of Susan Kapuscinski Gaylord.

What some of the letters are made of:
  • The A is made from images of three ice cream sandwiches.
  • The B is cut from an empty box of Bearitos popped corn.
  • The K is made from corn stalks found on a cereal box.
  • The W is cut from plastic flower identification tags.
  • The X is cut from plastic netting, made of lots of tiny Xs.
  • The Y is a chicken drumette with a wedge cut out.
  • The Z is chocolate, from an organic chocolate bar.
